Role Overview

The Community Outreach Officer is responsible for building relationships with GP practices and primary healthcare providers across the UK to increase awareness of Maryam Support Line. The role focuses on introducing our service as a trusted signposting option for Muslim women who may benefit from emotional and spiritual listening support alongside clinical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engagement & Relationship Building:
    Proactively reach out to GP practices, primary care networks, and relevant healthcare professionals to introduce Maryam Support Line and establish professional referral relationships.

  • Awareness & Resource Distribution:
    Coordinate the sharing of Maryam Support Line information (digital or printed resources) with GP surgeries for display or inclusion in patient signposting materials.

  • Partnership Development:
    Build long-term relationships with healthcare providers to encourage ongoing awareness and appropriate signposting to our service.

  • Outreach Strategy:
    Support the development and implementation of an outreach plan to engage GP practices consistently, including follow-ups and relationship maintenance.

  • Feedback & Reporting:
    Gather feedback from healthcare partners and provide updates to the Maryam Support Line team on outreach progress and impact.
