šCelebrating the Results from our Second Volunteer Survey
At Maryam Support Line, our volunteers are the backbone of everything we do. Their dedication, compassion, and enthusiasm are the driving force behind the emotional and spiritual support we offer to Muslim women around the world. Late last year, we conducted our first bi-annual volunteer feedback survey and were uplifted by the overwhelmingly positive response. Today, with our second survey complete, weāre even more humbledāand incredibly proudāto share how weāve grown together.
⨠Highlights from the Second Volunteer Survey:
šÆ 100% Volunteer Satisfaction
Every single respondent shared that they are very satisfied with their experience volunteering at Maryam Support Line. This mirrors the results of our first survey and reaffirms the consistency and heart behind our approach.
š¬ 100% Feel Supported in Their Role
Once again, all volunteers reported always feeling supportedāsomething we consider foundational. Itās a beautiful reminder that even in a remote-first setting, care and encouragement can travel far.
š£ Communication is Stronger Than Ever
In this latest survey, 100% of volunteers rated the clarity and frequency of communication as Excellent. This is a noticeable step forward, as weāve worked hard over the past six months to fine-tune how we stay connected, updated, and responsive as a team.
š Training Remains Solid
Just as in our first survey, every volunteer said they feel adequately trained for their role. Itās a testament to the strength of our onboarding process and the dedication of our leadership and mentors.
š¤ New Initiatives Are Resonating
We recently introduced our buddy system, designed to deepen connection and peer support among volunteers. Weāre thrilled to share that it received a 5 out of 5 star rating from 100% of survey respondents.
š Meaningful Impact
All volunteers said they feel their contributions are making a meaningful impact which is powerful reminder of how every single call, every listening ear, and every gentle word makes a difference.
š± What Volunteers Enjoy Most
The words of our volunteers speak for themselves:
āBeing able to be a listening ear to a sister in need.ā
āBeing trusted and emotionally present, showing empathy without judging, developing a deep connection.ā
These reflections are deeply aligned with the ethics code of Maryam Support Line and reflect how volunteers see their service as not just giving time but sharing compassion.
š Comparing Then and Now
In our first volunteer survey, we identified one main area for improvement: fostering a stronger sense of connection between volunteers. Since then we have introduced our buddy initiative; To see that 100% of volunteers now rate communication as excellent, and that the buddy system has been so well received, shows just how impactful these steps have been, Alhamdulillah.
š Room to Grow
As always, weāre listening. One request that came through in this round of feedback was the desire for more self-paced training material; resources that volunteers can access at their convenience to deepen their skills and confidence. In Sha Allah, this will be a focus for the coming quarter.
š To Our Volunteers: Thank You
To every single volunteer who completed the survey, and more importantly, who gives their time, heart, and presence to Maryam Support Line, Jazaki Allahu Khairan. You are not just volunteers. You are the voices of reassurance, a safety neet, and the reminders of hope for women in their most vulnerable moments.
May Allah bless each volunteer for their sincerity, protect their hearts, and multiply their reward in both this life and the next.
We look forward to continuing this journey, growing stronger and closer as a team, every step of the way.
